I feel that informing people of the importance of online learning is crucial to the understanding of online learning. People that do not know the benefits of online learning may have no desire to ever learn it because they do not know the full extent of what they could gain from it.
I'm starting to find more information about online learning. The only reason I know about online learning is because of this class and the research I have done for other classes. Parents, students, and schools should be more informed more about the possibilities of online learning. Online learning can help many children get through high school with out any problems.
Currently in my workplace, there are several core classes that are being offered as online learning. I consistently hear confusion and inaccurate gossip from the students about how to register for such a class, what the structure and content are, and what the pros and cons are.
As in the case of the cyber school, it seems the classes could be of so much benefit to many students, also that for some students, they are most likely not a good fit. Unfortunately, any student or teacher that doesn't know to ask, generally is not informed.
Education about any potential opportunity is so key for awareness and setting reasonable expectations.
There are benefits for online learning, however I'm still skeptical. In regards to college based online learning, my friend’s wife is currently taking online classes through the University of Phoenix and she has nothing but good things to say about the experience thus far. In that respect I can see how those who have fulltime commitments and can not afford to attend college in a traditional way can have the option to take online educational based programs.
i think that it is important but not something that can be pushed on people. Online learning is no longer the way of the future, it's happening now.
i agree with karen. im learning more about online learning through this class. i think its important for people to learn about, but maybe kind of obscure at this moment in time.
I am not sure I follow your question. Online learning is NOT for everyone. There are many types of education we are all unfamiliar with, with both emerging and declining trends. Unless I am the administrator of a college or a guidance counselor for a certain type of student, I do not see how I would need to trumpet or pass the word on online education.
I feel it is extremely important because I still have anxiety about the thought of elementary school aged children learning in a cyber environment. If I knew more of the benefits I may not be so anxiety ridden, just skeptical...
People that do not know the benefits of online learning may have no desire to ever learn it because they do not know the full extent of what they could gain from it.
